CEN RC Units Tear Up the Track
Samsung 500 Scheduled for April 6, 2008

Samsung 500 April 6, 2008

Last week I talked about the Goody’s Cool Orange 500 racing event in Virginia. This week I’d like to talk to you about the upcoming Samsung 500 racing event held in Fort Worth, Texas at the Texas Motor Speedway. Tickets start at $42 and go as high as $135. Coverage of this event will include FOX television coverage starting at 1 p.m. local time and radio coverage offered by PRN starting at 2 p.m. local time.

This racing event will be held, as mentioned above, at the Texas Motor Speedway, located in Fort Worth, Texas. This speedway offers free parking to its guests, however, if you want to reserve your parking then you will need to call ahead and pay for your parking. In total there are 660 acres for parking. If you need handicapped parking then look near gates 3, 4, 9 and 10. If you want to campout during this racing event then you will want to contact the camping director at 1-817-215-8500 to learn what spaces are available and how much they costs. There are 7,800 campsites, with 1,000 unservices sites. This means that it is a good idea to call ahead and reserve a spot.

The Texas Motor Speedway is nearly three times as long as the Martinsville Speedway track at 1.5 miles. It has a 750 foot turning radius that has a 24 degree banking angle. The front stretch of this track is 2,250 feet long and the back stretch is 1,330 feet. This track also has about 45 pits, however, the number of available pits are going to vary depending on the racing circuit.

Planning a racing event holiday is something that you can do on the spur of the moment. However, for the best seats and parking, you need to plan ahead. While at the event keep your eyes open for driving and racing strategies and tricks that you can use while playing or racing your CEN RC units or Kyosho RC units.
