I just place them inside of a cabinet on the wall. that way the kids can’t get to them!

I agree. When you are collecting valuable items you should take precautions to make sure they do not get damaged. Nice post.

Wow – great idea about collecting RC race cards. I have some old race cars from the 1950s and 60s that my dad gave me – do u know what they might be worth?

Dessicant dehumidifiers are another way to protect your collectibles from humidity. Keeping them in a case works, but like the post says, it needs to be air tight! Otherwise, it will still be possible for moisture to get inside and the conditions in the case (dark, moist) will make mold and rust even more likely.

Great advice guys! I think one of the key things about storage is to keep the models dry and store them at an even temperature in a dry environment.

I’d imagine it is moisture that will cause problems to happen?
