CEN RC Cars and Trucks Product Review of CEN Matrix

CEN Matrix: Product Review

Last week I talked about the Vulcano V.28 offered by Carson RCs and this week I will be talking about CEN Matrix. This is an expensive model that retails for about $599. It is a mid-sized remote control vehicle at 19 inches by 12 inches and it weighs a little under 7.5 pounds. This model is a good unit for people who are ready to take the next step up in RC vehicles.

When you look at a multi-hundred dollar remote control unit you need to make sure that it has the power, durability and upgradability to make it a good investment. The CEN Matrix, for example, has a 3mm 7075 aluminum chassis, a lay down style steering servo and front and rear chassis stiffeners also made from aluminum. The suspension system on this model is made up of a six hole shock tower and oil filled anodized aluminum shocks. The gear system in the CEN Matrix has a 15/46 pinion spur ratio.

In addition to a great set up, the CEN Matrix is also fully adjustable and upgradable. The elements that can be adjusted include the camber, the wheelbase, the front toe, the front down travel and the read down travel. Casters on this model can be adjusted between 22 degrees and 20 degrees. Finally the acherman can be adjusted to three different positions.

The CEN Matrix is just one electric rc car model that you can buy. HPI and Kyosho also produced interesting designs for you to consider adding to your fleet of remote control vehicles.
