Hey I guess you forgot to mention something.
One more thing to keep in mind is disposing of your old RC car battery or RC battery packs.

All rechargeable batteries CANNOT be thrown into your household trash. They need to be disposed of properly.

Almost all retail stores that sell rechargeable batteries do have a collection site for your old batteries.

Please use them and help keep our environment clean!!!

Remember, a battery with higher capacity will perform better, but will cost more, and will also weigh more. If you are racing in a stock class, it is sometimes better to use a lower capacity battery that is lighter in weight.

Beginners and people like me who like to just play around will do best to buy cheap battery packs. For $50 we can buy 4 battery packs and play all day. Any cheap brand will do fine.

For serious racing, there are matched battery packs. These use cells that have been selected among thousands, and are the best. Companies that produce these racing battery packs are Orion, Reedy, and Trinity.

Hey thanks for the information. There are many different things to know about radio-controlled car batteries. Knowing about the batteries is the first step to enjoying a day of racing. Batteries are the life of every electric radio-controlled car.

In my case too i lost the chance to replace my battery charger which was under warranty. I really wish I had read your tips earlier to replace the battery charger instead of buying a new one.

It is true that most of us dont know exactly what do to when we get stuck into such situation.So we must check the warranty of the charger inorder to prevent the cost of buying a new battery. The post has useful tips which we generally ignore while buying a battery.

Thanks for providing such tips which are of great help in our day to day life. Even though we all use it on daily basis or regularly but we do not know exactly when to change it. I was not aware that if the battery charger is overheating then the battery charger has got the problem not the battery. I am surely going to follow your tips in future.

Thanks for sharing such a useful tip about changing the battery charger. Although most rc enthusiasts have a battery charger, most of them don’t know when to change it unless it couldn’t charge any battery anymore. My battery charger used to face situations mentioned in the article such as unable to fully charge my battery. I thought it was the problem of my battery and didn’t bother about the charger. Thanks for the useful tips.
