| Is there such a thing as RC Car Insurance? Thankfully there is no need for insurance with RC cars ...unless you have an RC Ferrari or something. But for a real life vehicle, auto insurance is a must, and cutting costs while still keeping an adequate level of protection is vital. Have you had the same car insurance policy for two years or more? Then it’s time to shop for discount car insurance to make sure you are still paying the right price for the coverage you carry. Especially if you haven’t had any claims or traffic violations during the time that you’ve held the policy, you may qualify for a lower rate now than when you got your current coverage. It can take weeks and sometimes months to get your car repaired after a wreck. But do go ahead and get rid of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage if you have adequate medical insurance. PIP only pays after your other medical coverage on the auto policy and your regular medical insurance have reached their limits. All drivers should have uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. Too many of the irresponsible drivers on the roads today are also irresponsible with their insurance coverage. Can you imagine being hit by an uninsured drunk driver? It’s a shame that we have to protect ourselves against these possibilities, but it’s an expensive reality we need to be prepared for. Don’t skimp so much on your insurance coverage that you are underinsured. It’s too risky. Investigate all offered discounts to make sure you get every one you can. You can get a discount for taking a defensive driving course or other training. You may qualify for a loss free discount if you have a clean driving record, so make sure to ask about this discount and any others that may apply. For example, carrying your homeowners insurance with the same company will get you substantial discounts on both your car and homeowners policies. After you have determined exactly what coverage you need and what discounts you qualify for, you’ ready to get quotes from different car insurance companies. Doing all of your homework ahead of time will help you really be able to compare apples to apples since all of the premiums will reflect the same deductibles and coverage levels. Choose the best price from a reliable insurance company. If you are happy with your current car insurance company, offer them the opportunity to meet or beat rates from competitors.
