Her articles have appeared in American Way, Crain’s Chicago Business, Home Office Computing, McCall’s Magazine, and trade magazines in the food, restaurant, construction and real estate industries. For 9 years she wrote features for special sections of the Chicago Tribune.

Currently, she is a contributing editor of Wide Format Imaging, a publication of Cygnus Business Media.

Marsha also develops web content, newsletters and sales literature and provides editorial services for corporations and individuals.

Among the companies she has written for are Whirlpool Corporation, Littelfuse, Inc., Panera Bread Bakery-Cafes, Long Grove Confectionary Company, Rain Soft Water Systems, Columbia College Chicago, BankOne, Sprint PCS, Realtors National Marketing Institute, and Searle.

Marsha is editor emeritus of Whetstone, an award-winning journal of fiction and poetry, and a former adjunct faculty member of Columbia College Chicago.

Since 1992 Marsha Portnoy has been my editor. She edited two books and the Super Science Fair Project web site.
