Aerial RC demons take to the sky, learn how...
Coaxial RC helicopters are some of the most advanced remote controlled helicopters available. What makes them special is their dual main rotor system. This dual rotor system makes them very easy to control in the air, which means that they are the perfect option for young and novice RC helicopter pilots.
Coaxial RC helicopters generate additional air stability by using opposing wind force and lift. This is created by rotating each main rotor system in a different direction. For example, the base rotor may spin clockwise while the top rotor spins counter-clockwise. This dual main rotor system eliminates the need for a tail rotor, which traditionally is used to stabilize the helicopter by controlling sideways thrust.
If you are buying coaxial RC helicopters for your kids, or if you are interested in getting your kids interested in aircraft, then take them to see the real life aircraft that inspired the coaxial RC helicopter design. The Russians have a coaxial helicopter called the KA32, which is manufactured by Kamox. This aircraft is used for emergency rescues and medical evacuations. Again, like the RC model it doesn't need a tail rotor.
Once you have seen the real life varieties of these aircrafts in action you will be more excited than ever to play with your remote control model. When learning how to use your coaxial RC helicopters you will want to start out with basic maneuvers. A good place to start is practicing to take off from a landing pad, ascending straight up, descending straight down and landing your aircraft safely.
The next maneuvers that you will want to do will be moving in a straight line and landing at a distant landing pad. This will help you to learn how to control your aircraft's speed, rotor blade pitch and other flight characteristics of your helicopter. Then you can try basic turning maneuvers.
Once these basic maneuvers have been mastered you can start working on your aerial acrobatics. These maneuvers will include 360 backflips and other riskier moves. With a little practice you will be able to turn your coaxial RC helicopters into aerial RC demons.
